Makes 4 servings

  • 2 ripe pears (Bosc or D'Anjou, we used Harry & David Royal Riviera pears!)

  • 4 tbsp oats

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup (or sugar to sprinkle on pears)

  • 2 tbsp roasted walnuts or pecans

  • 4 tbsp roasted almonds

  • 2 tsp cinnamon powder (+ extra to sprinkle on top)

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a small bowl, mix together the oats, cinnamon powder, honey, nutmeg powder, almonds, and walnuts.

  2. Cut the pears lengthwise in half and scoop out the seeds with a spoon. Lightly brush each pear with maple syrup or sprinkle with sugar.

  3. Line a baking dish with parchment paper and place the pears face-up on it.

  4. Heap the oat mixture onto each pear. Bake until golden brown for about 20 minutes.

  5. Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup or honey, and cinnamon powder. Pair it with your favorite coffee or ice cream!
